We're bringing a world-class floating sauna experience to the shores of Sooke Basin — a place where ancient Nordic wellness tradition meets the raw, breathtaking beauty of Vancouver Island.

Imagine stepping into a hand-crafted cedar sauna perched on the water, the heat building to 90°C, then plunging into the 12°C Pacific. Mist rising off the inlet. Herons gliding overhead. The kind of moment that becomes a story you tell for years.

Adrift is being built for this community — for the people of Sooke and Victoria who deserve something truly extraordinary, right in their backyard.

Our road to the sea

We're building this in public. Here's where we are and where we're headed.

Phase 1

The Idea Takes Shape

Born from a love of Nordic sauna culture and Sooke Basin's untouched beauty, Adrift began as a vision — a floating wellness sanctuary for Vancouver Island.

Winter 2024

Phase 2

Design & Engineering

Working with naval architects and cedar craftspeople to design a vessel that's as beautiful as it is functional — built for BC's waters and seasons.

Spring 2025

Phase 3 · Now

Community & Permits

Engaging with the Sooke community, securing moorage, and working through marine permits. We want Adrift to be something Sooke is proud of.

Phase 4 · Now

Build & Launch

Construction begins on the sauna, cedar walls rise. The hot tub & seating is constructed. Waitlist members get first access to book before we open to the public.
